I have worked in the financial industry since I began my career at NatWest Stockbrokers in 1987. In the mid-90s I was extremely fortunate to be hired by Standard Chartered Securities spending two enjoyable years on the institutional side in Hong Kong. Before joining St. James's Place in 2015, I worked as a stockbroker with Charles Stanley for ten years looking after investment portfolios for individuals, trusts, charities and companies.
I advise on the following:
- Savings & Investments
- Inheritance Tax & Estate Planning
- Retirement Planning & Pension Income
- Care Fees Planning
- Protecting your Family & Business
I chose to join St. James's Place because it is focused on achieving the highest quality outcomes for clients and as a Chartered Financial Planner I also strive to demonstrate the highest standards of professional excellence, integrity and ethical behaviour.
My emphasis is on maintaining a long-term relationship with my clients and to provide them with a source of trusted advice as their financial needs evolve over the years. This strong client focus allows me to build my business predominantly on introductions, both from my private clients and from other professional relationships.
Outside of work I am a Member of Advantage Schools Multi-Academy Trust, having been a Trustee and Governor of Bedford Free School from 2011 to 2017, during which time I was involved in the establishment and development of the school. I also serve on the Endowment Committee of The Harpur Trust. Otherwise, when not spending time with my wife Mandy and our two boys, Marcus and Alex, I enjoy playing squash and follow Wycombe Wanderers home and away.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
